Family Tradition
Rick met his wife Lisa while they were in law school at South Texas College of Law. Since they met, Rick and Lisa's ties to the county of Kaufman run deep. Lisa is a former prosecutor for the Kaufman County District Attorney's Office and her father, Wayne Gent, is a former Kaufman County Judge. In 2004, Rick was asked by Kaufman County law enforcement and lawyers to move from Mesquite to Kaufman County and run for District Attorney. They agreed, and have lived in Talty for over 19 years. Rick's sons, Hunter and Spencer, attended Forney High School and both were All District and All State Academic football players in 2014 and 2016, respectively. After graduating from college, Hunter and Spencer returned to the area to start their careers. The Harrisons worship regularly at Fellowship Forney church.
